Lace Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Fuchsia

100% cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s sweater.  This yarn is two-ply and a fine lace weight, soft and luxurious. The color is a bold, luminous purplish red, or fuchsia.

This sweater yielded four skeins:

• 670 yards / 613 meters, 1.8 ounces / 51 grams, no knots
• 650 yards / 604 meters, 1.75 ounces / 50 grams, 1 knot
• 570 yards / 521 meters, 1.5 ounces / 43 grams, 2 knots
• 420 yards / 384 meters, 1.1 ounces / 32 grams, no knots

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
