Heavy Lace Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Rusty Red

100% Scottish cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a discarded men’s sweater.  This yarn is two ply and lace weight, a little thicker than many recycled cashmere yarns. The color is a rich red with hints of orange and brown, a perfect rusty red.

This sweater yielded five skeins:

• 540 yards / 494 meters, 2.1 ounces / 58 grams, 1 knot
• 490 yards / 448 meters, 1.9 ounces / 53 grams, 2 knots
• 460 yards / 420 meters, 1.8 ounces / 50 grams, 2-3 knots (Quantity: 3)

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
