Heavy Lace Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Burgundy

100% cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a gently worn oversized women’s sweater.  This yarn is made up of two fine 2-ply strands held together and is a heavy lace weight. The color is a deep, dark red with hints of brown and purple, or burgundy.  It’s deliciously soft, yet strong.

This sweater yielded five skeins:

• 630 yards / 576 meters, 3.4 ounces / 96 grams, no knots
• 560 yards / 512 meters, 3.1 ounces / 86 grams, 1 knot
• 370 yards / 338 meters, 2.1 ounces / 59 grams, 0-1 knots (Quantity: 3)

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
