Heavy Lace Weight Cashmere Recycled Yarn in Ivory

100% cashmere yarn, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s sweater.  This yarn is two ply and lace weight, a little thicker and stronger than many recycled cashmere yarns. The color is a classic creamy off-white, or ivory.

This sweater yielded four skeins:

• 670 yards / 613 meters, 3.2 ounces / 89 grams, no knots
• 640 yards / 585 meters, 3.0 ounces / 84 grams, 1 knot
• 530 yards / 485 meters, 2.4 ounces / 68 grams, 2 knots
• 380 yards / 347 meters, 1.8 ounces / 51 grams, 2 knots

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
