DK Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Olive Green

100% cashmere yarn in olive green, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women’s sweater.  This yarn is DK or light worsted weight at 10-11 wraps per inch.  It’s strong, but pleasantly soft and pettable.

This sweater yielded four skeins:

• 590 yards / 539 meters, 6.1 ounces / 172 grams, 1 knot
  
• 550 yards / 503 meters, 5.6 ounces / 159 grams, no knots
• 250 yards / 229 meters, 2.6 ounces / 73 grams, 2 knots
• 220 yards / 201 meters, 2.3 ounces / 65 grams, 1 knot

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
