Heavy Lace Weight Recycled Cashmere Yarn in Oatmeal Beige

100% cashmere yarn in a neutral greyish beige, or oatmeal, carefully reclaimed from a discarded women's sweater.  This yarn is made up of two fine 2-ply strands held together, and is a heavy lace weight at about 18 wraps per inch. Soft and luxurious.

This sweater yielded four large skeins:

• 580 yards / 530 meters, 3.3 ounces / 92 grams, no knots
  
• 570 yards / 521 meters, 3.2 ounces / 90 grams, 1 knot
• 540 yards / 494 meters, 3.0 ounces / 84 grams, 2 knots
• 510 yards / 466 meters, 2.8 ounces / 78 grams, 2 knots

Cashmere is light, warm, soft, and surprisingly durable. Handwash in lukewarm water with a wool-safe detergent (or a squirt of shampoo and a dab of conditioner), and dry flat.
